Piotr Jasiurkowski
Piotr Jasiurkowski was born in Lubin (Poland) in 1987.
From 1998 onwards, Piotr Jasiurkowski studied in the violin class of Prof. Robert Szreder at the Maastricht Academy of Music (The Netherlands). During his studies Piotr received lessons from V. Repin, H. Krebbers, Y.Kless and A. Suwanai In 2011 he graduated summa cum laude with a Master’s degree with distinction in Violin Performance. Shortly after the graduation he was appointed docent of violin at the Maastricht Academy of Music.
Piotr Jasiurkowski has won various prizes at the international competitions. He has performed as a soloist with orchestras such as: Sinfonia Varsovia, Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, Estonian National Symphony Orchestra, Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra, Korean Chamber Ensemble and has given recitals and concerts in Europe (e.g. Netherlands – Concertgebouw), Asia (e.g. Korea - Great Concert Hall in Seoul Arts Center) and Africa (e.g. Egipt – Cairo Opera House).
In 2006 he received the Prize of the Minister of the Culture of the Republic of Poland for the most prominent young artists and in 2007 the highly valid two-year Huygens Scholarship in the Netherlands, which was extended for another two years in 2009 due to outstanding achievements. In 2015 Piotr Jasiurkowski was named the Polish person of the year in the Netherlands in the culture category – Polonus 2015.
Piotr Jasiurkowski plays a “Frans Mortelmans” Jean-Babtiste Vuillaume violin from 1860, which is kindly loaned by the Dutch National Instrument Foundation (Nationaal Muziekinstrumenten Fonds).
Joanna Malinowska
Joanna Malinowska performs as a solo violinist, chamber musician and orchestra player on the stages of Europe, Asia and the USA. She is active in Cracow's artistic circles, cooperating with many orchestras and ensembles, such as Sinfonietta Cracovia, Krakow Opera, Krakow Chamber Opera, the Royal Chamber Orchestra performing and recording with such great musicians as Krzysztof Penderecki, Jerzy Maksymiuk, Gidon Kremer, Colin Metters, Rafael Payare, John Axelrod, Gabor Boldoczki, Daniel Ottensamer, Martin Grubinger, Georgijs Osokins and many others.
Among her rich stage experience it is worth to mention her participation in the project conducted by Maestro Riccardo Muti celebrating the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of the First World War in the mausoleum in Redipuglia in Italy. A major distinction was also invitation to perform Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto at the prestigious festival La Folle Journee di Varsovie, after which she played series of solo concerts in Poland and abroad. She has also made TV recording of this concerto, accompanied by Youth Cracow Philharmonic, as part of National Youth Orchestras Competition, winning the Audience Award.
As a chamber musician she had the opportunity to participate in the premiere of Kliknend Changement project - the unique composistion of contemporary artists from Limburg.
She participates in a series of recitals organized by the Cracow Music Society. Her repertoire includes works of different styles and periods, in particular, works of Polish composers.
She gained experience as an orchestra player participating in many symphonic projects in Europe and the USA such as Central European Initiative Youth Orchestra, Idyllwild Arts Academy Orchestra in Los Angeles or Conservatorium Maastricht Symphony Orchestra, also as a concertmaster.
Joanna’s musical interests extend beyond classical music. Recently she had an opportunity to perform with such stars as Einar Selvik (Wardruna), Dessner brothers (The National), Mike Patton, Albano, Romina Power and Jose Carreras. Together with the string quartet she performs with Polish singer Michał Łanuszka. She played in Symphonica in Rosso projects with Lionel Richie and Candy Dulfer and Petula Clark with Guido's Orchestra in the Netherlands.
Joanna is a laureate of many awards. She has been awarded with GRAND PRIX of 22nd International Competition "Gianluca Campochiaro" in Catania, Italy. She also won two First Absolute Prizes in the categories of solo and chamber ensembles.
Joanna Malinowska is a scholarship holder of several foundations such as Sapere Auso, Pro Bono Musicae and the 10th edition of the prestigious scholarship program of Ministry of Culture and National Herritage „Young Poland’, awarded to the most talented young Polish artists.
In 2014, Joanna Malinowska graduated with the title of Master of Music at the Conservatorium Maastricht in the Netherlands in the violin class of Professor Robert Szreder. She perfected her skills under the guidance of great virtuosos and pedagogues such as Zakhar Bron, Bartosz Bryła, Wanda Wiłkomirska, Yair Kless, Sergei Kravchenko, Daniel Stabrawa, Krzysztof Śmietana, Adam Kostecki and Michael Frischenschlager.
Since 2014, Joanna Malinowska has been violin teacher at Mieczyslaw Karlowicz State Music School Complex in Krakow, delivering her enthusiasm for the music to young artists.
Professor Robert Szreder
Robert Szreder (1946) was born in Deblin (Poland). He studied under professor Z. Brzewski at the Warsaw Academy of Music and graduated in 1970 with excellent.
Before moving to the Netherlands, his present home, Robert Szreder had already been among the prize-winners at the International Gaudeamus Interpreters Competition in the Netherlands, Bela Bartok Competition in Budapest and some others International Music Competitions.
At present he is the professor at the Music Academy in Maastricht. He is also visiting professor of some Music Academies in abroad and gave master classes in the United States,
Russia, Ireland, Poland, Germany, France, Spain, China, South Korea, Turkey and many other countries.
Robert Szreder performs in various festivals such as the Beethoven Festival in Sweden, Mozart Festival in the United States, Warsaw Autumn in Poland, Holland Festival.
He has toured with great success all Western Europe, the United States, South America, Asia, Poland, Russia, and Czech Republic. Slovakia, Bulgaria, Hungary and made numerous radio, television, LP and CD recordings.
He has been invited as the jury member of several music competitions.
Robert Szreder was the first and till now only one artist to be invited to give a gala concert on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the International Court of Justice at the Peace Palace in The Hague.
Since 1974 Robert Szreder has resided in the Netherlands.
He was decorated with several international distinctions (as for example Order of the International Court of the Justice, The Medal of Thomas More Society). The President of the Polish Republic awarded him a Medal of Merit to the Polish Culture and Officer’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta.
